Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies, and what other information stored in your browser, VirtualDispatch uses and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These are set automatically and cannot be turned off, because the Service cannot function without them. Under GDPR/ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in and remembers your authentication tokens. Expires after 30 days or on logout. When you sign in with Navigraph, it also holds the details of that sign-in until Navigraph sends you back, so the answer can be matched to your browser; they are only accepted within 10 minutes.

2. Information stored in your browser

Some features keep information in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. It stays on your device, is not used to track you, and is only used to provide what you asked for, so it does not require consent either:

• Your active flight — a working copy of the flight you are flying, so it opens instantly and keeps working if the connection drops, with the email of the account it belongs to and markers used to sync it with our servers.
• Your SimBrief username, if you enter one.
• Your preferences — day or night mode, the weather layers shown on the map, notices you have dismissed, and your cookie choice (see below).

Signing out does not remove it. Deleting your account clears it in the browser you delete the account from, and clearing your browser's site data for virtualdispatch.app removes it at any time.

3. Analytics cookies (optional)

With your consent, we may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used — for example, which pages are visited and how often — so we can improve it. These cookies are not currently active; when we do enable analytics, they will only load after you accept them via the cookie banner. You can accept or reject this category at any time using the banner shown on your first visit.

4. Managing your choice

Your choice is stored locally in your browser (not on our servers) and applies to this browser/device only. Clearing your browser's site data will reset your choice and show the banner again on your next visit. You can also control cookies more broadly through your browser's settings.
